I don’t do mashups often, but a Batman-themed art show inspired me. Mystic Joker is a combination of the Joker (I mean, obviously) and the Twilight Zone episode “Nick of Time”, wherein a young couple finds themselves superstitiously obsessed with the Mystic Seer, a devil-headed fortune telling napkin dispenser in a small town diner. I thought a fun little twist on that would be a joke-teller with the familiar visage of the Clown Prince of Crime. Are his jokes fun and innocent, or cruel and laced with poison? You’ll have to drop in a penny to see.
