This was created in June 2020 during the global protests of George Floyd’s murder.
The United States has been facing important equality moments for hundreds of years, and has never figured out how to make it right. I want to believe this will finally kick off the real change we desperately need.
I’m not part of a marginalized group. I won’t ever be able to understand how that feels, or the danger that comes with it. But I will support you however I can.
My job is to be a visual communicator, so I tried making something that expresses what this country is going through, what we’re feeling.
None of this will stop without a fight. We can’t wish it away, and we can’t just hope people will start treating each other better. History has shown us that, over and over. It takes action and engagement, not turning a blind eye.
