Sculpted in oil-based Monster Clay, cast in resin, painted and decorated
I started working on this little guy sometime in late 2017. I’d do some sculpting, put it down, pick it up a few months later, repeat. I finally finished the sculpting in April 2019, then molded and cast him shortly after…then let that sit for a year too. So when the pandemic started in 2020, I said to myself, “I’m going to finish this thing come hell or high water.”
Cut to some experiments in painting, hair gluing, and accessory making. Even the little bone in his hair is a sculpted, cast, and painted piece! Three weeks later he was finally complete, and I’m really proud of how he came out.
