Digital art, 5″ x 7″ two-sided card
I was honored to illustrate a wedding invitation for two of my favorite people. We wanted it to be a fun piece with a tropical flavor for their Orlando wedding, and I found inspiration in mid-century travel and airline posters, which are a real goldmine of design. It should be no surprise that I study lots of art and graphic design from that era, and even though I primarily work on a computer, I still want everything to feel handmade. I try to preserve things like visible brush strokes and imperfections, and the type is completely hand-drawn because it’s just plain fun to do. All in all, I’m really happy with the end result!
